All Young Athletes are invited to join us for Young Athletes @ Home Training Program. This is for ANYONE and EVERYONE ages 2-10. Join us each week as we focus on a different sport to prepare you for the day you can join a SOTN sports team in your area. We will be learning new skills for Track & Field, Basketball, Soccer, and Fun Fitness through different drills and activities. Grab your siblings, your neighbors, or even your parents and let’s get moving! Program details and information will be sent to registered Young Athletes participants prior to the start of @home Fall Games.
Special Olympics Young Athletes is a sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities (ID), ages 2 to 10 years old. Young Athletes introduces basic sport skills, like running, kicking and throwing, and supports the growth of important motor, social and learning skills. Young Athletes offers families, teachers, caregivers, and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children. Children of all abilities take part, and they all benefit.
Young Athletes is run in one of three different settings- schools, communities, and at home. Through Young Athletes, all children, their families and people in the community can be part of an inclusive team!
